    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By downloading, installing, or using Expense Flow, a product of Primecode LLC ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

    2. Description of Service

    Expense Flow is a personal finance management application that allows users to track expenses and income, create budgets, set savings goals, manage loans, and share expenses with groups.

    IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Expense Flow is a personal finance tracking tool only. It is NOT a licensed financial advisor, accountant, tax professional, or banking institution. Any financial data, insights, or suggestions provided by the App are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional financial advice.

    3. User Accounts

    To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

    • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
    • Maintain the security of your password and account
    • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
    • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

    4. User Responsibilities

    When using Expense Flow, you agree NOT to:

    • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
    • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
    • Upload viruses or malicious code
    • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
    • Rely on the App as your sole source of financial record-keeping

    5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

    YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OF DATA YOU ENTER. Expense Flow does not verify, audit, or validate the financial information you input. The App's calculations, reports, and insights are based entirely on user-provided data and may contain errors.

    You should:

    • Verify all financial calculations independently
    • Not use App-generated reports as official financial documents
    • Consult qualified professionals for tax, legal, or investment decisions
    • Maintain separate official records of your finances

    6. Subscriptions and Payments

    Free and Paid Plans

    The App offers both free (Starter) and paid subscription plans. Features vary by plan tier.

    Billing

    Paid subscriptions are billed through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). By subscribing, you authorize recurring payments until cancelled.

    Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

    Refunds

    Refund requests are handled according to the policies of your app store. We do not directly process refunds.

    Price Changes

    We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Changes will be communicated in advance and will apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

    7. Third-Party Services

    The App uses third-party services to provide functionality:

    • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, cloud storage, and analytics
    • Google Cloud Platform: Server infrastructure
    • Apple/Google App Stores: App distribution and in-app purchases
    • OpenAI: AI-powered features (optional, see Section 8)

    These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

    8. AI Features (Optional)

    The App includes optional AI-powered features provided by OpenAI:

    AI Capabilities

    • Receipt Scanning: AI vision analysis to extract expense data from receipt images
    • Financial Chat Assistant: Conversational AI to answer questions about your finances
    • Language Translation: Multi-language support for commands and queries
    • Financial Insights: AI-generated analysis and suggestions based on your data

    AI Feature Disclaimers

    NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE: AI-generated content, including financial insights, suggestions, and analysis, is for informational purposes only. It does NOT constitute professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Always consult qualified professionals for important financial decisions.

    ACCURACY LIMITATIONS: AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You are responsible for verifying any AI-generated information before acting on it.

    DATA PROCESSING: When you use AI features, only non-sensitive data (such as receipt images, expense categories, or general questions) is sent for processing. We never send sensitive information to AI services, including: account IDs, passwords, bank account numbers, card numbers, CVV codes, or authentication credentials.

    OPT-OUT: AI features are completely optional. You can disable them at any time in Settings > AI Settings. Disabling AI features does not affect core app functionality.

    Your Own API Key

    Depending on your subscription plan, you may configure your own OpenAI API key in Settings > AI Settings. When using your own API key:

    • Data is sent directly to OpenAI under your own account
    • You are responsible for OpenAI usage costs
    • OpenAI's terms and privacy policy apply directly to you

    AI Usage Limits

    • AI features may be subject to usage limits based on your subscription tier
    • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue AI features at any time
    • AI chat history is retained for your convenience and cannot be individually deleted

    9. Intellectual Property

    The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Expense Flow and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    10. Termination

    We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

    11. Disclaimer of Warranties

    THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
    • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
    • NON-INFRINGEMENT
    • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY DATA OR INFORMATION

    WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. AI FEATURES MAY PRODUCE INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE RESULTS.

    12. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXPENSEFLOW AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

    • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
    • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL
    • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP
    • FINANCIAL DECISIONS MADE BASED ON APP DATA, AI SUGGESTIONS, OR INSIGHTS

    OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

    13. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Expense Flow and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

    • Your use of the App (including AI features)
    • Your violation of these Terms
    • Your violation of any third-party rights
    • Financial decisions you make based on App data or AI-generated content

    14. Dispute Resolution

    Informal Resolution

    Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at support@expenseflow.net and attempt to resolve the issue informally.

    Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where our company is registered. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection laws.

    Class Action Waiver

    TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY AND NOT AS PART OF A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

    15. Age Restrictions

    You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the App.

    16. Modifications

    We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

    17. Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

    18. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Expense Flow regarding the App.
